Welcome, my friend, to Day 1 of The Cozy Life Retreat! I’m so glad you’re here. Whether you’re listening while walking, folding laundry, hiding in your car, or sitting with your tea still hot (lucky you!)—this is your space to breathe.
Today’s guided meditation is here to help you ease into a slower, more grounded mindset.
And if meditation isn’t usually your thing—no worries. Think of it more like a few quiet minutes to just be. No pressure, no perfect posture required.
What today’s audio is all about:
We’re digging into why we default to busyness, what’s keeping us stuck in the cycle, and—maybe most importantly—how to release the guilt we’ve been carrying around rest.
Spoiler: you’re allowed to slow down without earning it.
Reflection Questions:
No need to make this fancy. Just grab whatever’s nearby—the back of a grocery list, an old envelope, the receipt you swore you’d file away—and jot a few thoughts down. These don’t need to be full sentences or beautifully written. Just whatever’s true for you in the moment.
What story have I inherited about rest or slowing down?
When do I feel guilty for doing nothing—and why?
What would it look like to trust that I’m enough, even when I’m not doing?
Invitation to rest:
Say no to one thing today.
It doesn’t have to be dramatic. Maybe it’s replying to that message tomorrow instead of today. Maybe it’s not starting another load of laundry. Maybe it’s not checking off the next thing.
The list can wait. You don’t have to.
Until tomorrow,
Xuan
