Bookish Moments in a Full Life
current reads, decluttering bookshelves, & a realistic reading day
If you’ve ever fantasized about spending an entire weekend curled up with a good book… only to be interrupted 47 times before you even finish a page—you’re not alone.
Reading used to be something I did in long stretches. Now it looks a little different. It’s an audiobook playing while I make lunch. It’s five minutes here and there with a cozy mystery while the kids build Legos. It’s knowing I might read the same paragraph twice (or three times) and that’s okay.
This vlog is for you if:
Your bookshelves are overflowing and you still keep adding more to your TBR pile
You’ve decluttered your kids’ books more times than you can count but somehow… they multiply
You love hearing what other people are reading (and maybe want a few new titles yourself)
You’re figuring out how to keep your love for reading alive in this season of life—whatever that looks like
In this video, I’m organizing my shelves (yes, I did find books I forgot I owned), sharing what I’m currently reading, and making a small dent in the great decluttering of 2025: The Kid Book Edition.
We also take a little trip to return the cozy mystery I just finished—because getting a book back to the library after they’ve emailed you THREE times and then finally sent you a bill. Small wins count.
This isn’t one of those “I read 12 books in a weekend” kind of vlogs. It’s slow, gentle, and grounded in the reality of mom life. But it’s also full of joy—the kind that comes from carving out a few quiet moments just for yourself, even if they’re short.
If you’ve got a current read you’re loving, drop it in the comments—I’m always looking to add to my pile (even if I know it’ll take me months to get through it).
Thanks for being here. Light a candle, grab your favorite drink (lukewarm counts), and come get cozy with me.
xo,
Xuan
