No Overhauls Here—Just a Cozy Little Reset
There’s something about the idea of a “life reset” that feels both tempting and exhausting.
The internet version usually involves color-coded schedules, dramatic before-and-afters, and a morning routine that starts before the sun comes up. And while I love a good fresh start, I’m not interested in remaking my entire life in a weekend. (Especially not one where I also have to do laundry, pay bills, and remember to eat.)
So this week, I gave myself permission to reset gently.
Not a makeover. Not a rebrand. Just a quiet, intentional shift toward what feels supportive right now.
In this vlog, I’m:
Catching up on the very real, very unglamorous world of life admin (hi bills, I see you)
Giving my space a light tidy—not a deep clean, just enough to feel like I can exhale again
Reconnecting with my love for reading and sharing my current reads (spoiler: books are still the best reset button I know)
Talking candidly about perimenopause—because this phase of life is real, and weird, and worthy of conversation
Refreshing my wardrobe with a few intentional pieces that feel good on this current version of me (she’s soft, she’s strong, and she deserves pants that fit)
Here’s what I’ve been learning:
A reset doesn’t have to mean “fixing” everything.
It can mean asking what would feel nourishing right now?
It can mean softening into the season you’re in—without needing to do or prove or accomplish more.
For me, that looked like reclaiming some rhythm in my days, making space on the bookshelf and in my closet, and tending to the small things that were quietly draining me. One task at a time. One breath at a time. One cozy step forward.
And if you’re wondering—yes, I’m still behind on a few things. The to-do list didn’t disappear. But I feel a little more like me again.
If you’re in a season where everything feels a little scrambled, I hope this video reminds you that you don’t need a complete overhaul. You just need one gentle reset. Then maybe another. And then maybe a nap.
Thanks for being here. And if you want links to any of the clothing I picked up, just say the word—I’ll drop them in the next post.
xo,
